Living next door to a serial killer?!

Dear people,
I have just arrived home at 16:15 or 04:15pm.
I looked in the mailbox and found a card + giftcoupon with a value of 200€.
After reading the card from my neighbour me and my girlfriend are both a bit in shock, also seeing the 200€ coupon is for a fine and classy hotel/restaurant.
In his card he apologizes for having looked and talked to my girlfriend in the passed couple of years. Furthermore since our arrival in our new house we have not yet talked to any of our neighbours thus we are a bit confused as to what to do with this "FREAAAAAAKY Gift" from a "ODD" neighbour?
Are we going to get slashed/stabbed/shot/"insert murder type here" or is he asking for a "Threesome"? Or is he just a "kind and polite" neighbour?
Have any of you experienced the same thing? If so, what did you do?

We are currently renting the house, but we met our neighbourman before, just never talked to him. He did however approach my girlfriend a few times before.

you could approach your neighbour and ask him if he "sended you a card or saw anyone posting a card at your adress", however since you have never spoken to him before this can be a bad start. another option is that you can mention this to the man/girl that you hire the appartment from. if you keep recieving such things i'd also think about informing the police because this can get bad if it's a stalker. if it's not and you don't see anything weird or suspicious then i just suggest you have a nice meal with your girlfriend with that coupon

My standard procedure to handle this kind of situations is installing a home cooked RAT and tap his IM, Webcam, Social Networking, Telephone line... If you want me to help you out on this feel free to PM me, It helps alot if he uses WEP wifi but its not necesarry. All serial killers go on the internet to feed some kind of addictions also his porn history collection can lead you too see wat kind of person he really is. For example if his gore collection is inside of his porn collection you are in big shit..
EDIT: i almost forgot if you are going to visit him be sure to bring a tazer with you PM me for instructions to make one yourself if you have a soldering iron. Its really easy to do....
